ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Naomi Bellshaw, a force-free dog trainer based in Knutsford, Cheshire. I'm married to Matthew and we have a Boxer Dog called Lila.
I hold a Level 3 qualification in Canine Behaviour from the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), Platinum Level Certification from the Academy of Dog Training and Behaviour (ADTB) & Professional Dog Walking Certification from the Modern Dog Walkers Association (MDWA).
My journey into dog training hasn't been the most straightforward. You might be surprised to hear that my background is actually in Economics and Social Sciences. I graduated from university with a First Class Master of Arts Degree in 2020. My love of dogs, however, goes back much further than that.
I got my first puppy (a gorgeous Patterdale Terrier) at 6-years-old and have owned several dogs since then, including rescue dogs. Like most dog owners, I understand the challenges of working with dogs with behavioral issues.
I'm passionate about using the latest, science-based methods to further my knowledge of Dog Training and Behaviour, and to help you build a positive relationship with your dog.
I'm also Canine First Aid Certified (Level 2, VTQ), DBS checked and fully insured to walk and train dogs. Paperwork is available to view on request.
ASSISTANCE DOG SPECIALIST
I am a qualified Assistance Dog Specialist with the Dog Training College (DTC).
